My name is Colleen and I’m a momma to an amazing young boy, wife to an incredible and busy husband, a devoted foodie who loves everything about food and every type of cuisine, and an avid home cook of healthy recipes that are also delicious. I’m on a mission to get healthy recipes and nutritious Colleen-Selfiefood into your family’s bellies with great taste, without breaking the bank, and without using all of your time.

I’ve been on every fad diet, every program, done every trend. Seriously, I’m not kidding. I’ve spent thousands of dollars on books, and dvd’s, and meetings, and nonsense. What have I realized? That at the end of the day, the types of food you eat matter much more than when or how much. Moving more is required, especially if you’re going to splurge every once in awhile. But, if you stick to real food you make at home, you will help yourself dramatically and also encourage your waistline to shrink a bit.

Clean, whole, home-cooked food is attainable and affordable if you know how to do it. I want to teach people how to do it right. Being on a journey towards a healthy and strong body myself we can work through this together.Colleen-and-Eli

I learned how to cook in my mother’s kitchen and have figured out how to tweak her recipes to make them more healthy recipes without sacrificing any of the flavor.

If you keep a well stocked pantry, make a list and stick to it, and give yourself 30-40 minutes a day to cook, you can do this! I’m going to help you by providing feedback, healthy recipes, and tips! And, in turn, through the community we build together you will also help me and my family too. Dig deep, get out your cutting boards, get out those knives, and those pans!
